James Calvert

James was born in Tasmania, and grew up in the Northern Midlands on a family farm. As a child he was fascinated with the landscape around his home, and spent much of his time canoeing on the Macquarie River or walking through the local bushland. James' passion for the outdoors has continued throughout adult life.

Working in oils, in small to medium format, James draws inspiration from his time spent in the Tasmanian midlands, coastal areas and the Furneaux Group.
